It’s still April, but we’ve got summer on our mind in Faith Formation. This summer we’ll explore the stories that we love! Stories are important to UU’s, and we use them all the time at UU AVL. We’ve got some of our foundational stories ready to explore, but we want to hear from you too! Is there a story you love or a story that was important to you as a child? Come share it with us! We’ll explore it through art and play. Sign up for a Summer Sunday and get more information by emailing Kim. We’ll have a sign up at coffee hour soon as well.

Beyond the summer, we are making more plans! We are ready to start recruiting folks to be Faith Formation Collaborators in 2026-27. Curriculum-wise, we’ll be using Soul Matters for lower elementary, Crossing Paths (world religions) for middle schoolers, and our fabulous high school programs, Coming of Age and YRUU, are back too! Working with children and youth is a great way to meet people, make connections, and deepen your own spirituality. If you aren’t ready to fully commit, sign up for a Summer Sunday and dip your toes in!

We’re not done with this year yet! Keep an eye out for more Family Ministry opportunities and don’t miss the fabulous Coming of Age worship service on May 17th!
