Our UU Asheville Justice Teams continue to be active. I meet with team leads monthly as the Justice Ministry Council (JMC). Teams share updates on their work and explore opportunities for collective action. One of our goals this year is for team volunteers to table together on Sundays sharing information about all our justice efforts.
Now more than ever, getting out the vote is a priority. The JMC has agreed to support the work of getting out the vote. Any issue that aligns with our UU values and that we care passionately about is impacted by election outcomes. The UU Avl “UU the Vote” is in partnership with WNC Votes and the Interfaith Action Network (IAN) and other groups to coordinate efforts in our area. They will be keeping the congregation and the JMC informed of opportunities for action. Below are a few ways to engage this month. This link will be updated weekly. We hope you join in and invite a friend to support getting out the vote!
