UUCA recently hosted a Healthy Youth Groups and Youth Ministry training for religious professionals, youth advisors, and youth from all over the Southern Region. The UUA has spent years of discernment to develop a new and dynamic way of thinking around Youth Ministry to equip leaders with the tools needed for a thriving youth group. We had 41 participants and 26 overnight guests come to this first-of-its-kind training! People attended from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, and from all over North Carolina as well. The training was led by Natalie Briscoe and Kathy McGowan, both from the Southern Region Congregational Life staff, and Sarah Osborne, DRE of Neshoba Unitarian Universalist Church and Youth Ministry Consultant with the Southern Region Team.
