DESCRIPTION:UU Asheville Fiber Friends is a group of crafters who do handwork on personal projects and for the community. Mainly knitters and crocheters\, we create warm items for donation to local charities (serving children\, youth\, and adults) and make a variety of cotton cloths given to Meals on Wheels for their “Santa for seniors” packages each December. A limited supply of yarn and tools (needles and hooks) are also available. \n\n\n\n\nJoin us the first Saturday of each month in the parlor of 23 Edwin\, from 10 AM until about 12 noon. SUMMARY:9:15 Contemplative Service
DESCRIPTION:At 9:15 AM\, we have a 40-45 minute Contemplative Worship Service. This service invites participants into a reflective\, more meditative space\, and includes silence\, beautiful recorded music and videos\, and opportunities for sharing. It also features the sermon and theme which will be the focus in the second service at 11:15 AM. This service is not livestreamed.\, and it include childcare but not a full religious education program. This service will be particularly good if you need quiet in order to hear well or focus\, would prefer a little more space around you\, or seek a more contemplative communal experience. \nBetween services\, at 10 am we will have coffee hour and special programs. Whether you come to the early service or the later service\, we encourage you to consider arriving at 10 am for coffee\, conversation\, and special programs including conversations with the Board\, or Minister & lay-led justice or adult education offerings.

DESCRIPTION:At 11:15 AM\, we have our Traditional Service. This service includes our choir or special guest musicians\, Wisdom story\, our regular children’s religious education classes and childcare\, and is livestreamed. \nAfter the 11:15 service\, folx are welcome to remain for a social time\, enjoying coffee (if coffee remains after the 10 AM coffee hour*!) and conversation.
