Greetings to you all! This is my first newsletter submission since June, and it’s good to be back. I enjoyed a wonderful, much-needed summer break, with trips to New York and Georgia to see family (and to be lazy). I was also thrilled that my brother and sister and their families made it down from Maryland for a great visit here in Asheville. Emerging from “hibernation,” I feel refreshed and very excited about my 6th year here at UUCA.
The Adult Choir has already been busily rehearsing, preparing lots of beautiful anthems for Sunday worship. If you’re interested in joining the Adult Choir, please email me at MusicDirector@UUAsheville.org to set up an audition. Also, check out our new music pages on this website. Click on the “Music and Choirs” listing in the left-hand menu under “About Our Church.”
Speaking of choirs, the Intergenerational Choir will be starting up again soon. Our first Sunday appearance will be on Nov. 2, and rehearsals will be on Sundays after services from 12:30 –1:15 pm, beginning on Oct. 5 for four weeks.
Lastly, our concert series, “MUUsic in the Afternoon,” will begin later this fall, so look to the website soon for more information.
It’s going to be a great year!
