Our congregation is a Welcoming Congregation for bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender (BGLT) people. This congregation became a Welcoming Congregation in 1999 after a multi-year period of study and reflection by congregation members.

We fulfill our role as a Welcoming Congregation by offering BGLT persons a religious home free of discrimination. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, you are welcome in our faith community.

There is much more information on the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) website. Click this link www.uua.org/obgltc to be directed to the UUA Office of Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Concerns.

We welcome your participation at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville and call or email us at Information@UUAsheville.org if we can help with any questions you might have.
